South Western Railway (SWR) was created by amalgamating the reorganized Hubli division from South Central Railway with Bangalore & Mysore divisions of Southern Railway. This Railway has become operational from the 1st of April, 2003 with its headquarter at Hubli in the state of Karnataka.

Structure of Exam

  • Goods Guard: Document Verification (DV) & Medical Examination for Single Stage CBT Exam.
  • Station Master: Document Verification (DV) & Medical Examination for Second Stage Examination – CBT Exam, and Aptitude Test.
  • Jr. Clerk Cum Typist: Document Verification (DV) & Medical Examination for Second Stage Examination – Typing Test and CBT Exam
  • Important Note: The Questions in the CBT Exam will be MCQ-based.
  • Examination Language: Hindi & English.
  • Exam Duration: 90 Minutes
  • Number of Questions: 100
  • Note: For each wrong answer, 1/3 marks will be deducted.

Pay Scale and Mode of Selection

  • Pay Scale: Pay Level (7th CPC) 

Goods Guard :  Level-5  || Station Master : Level-6  || Jr. Clerk Cum Typist: Level-2
