PCRA Competition Form will be released soon. The Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA), under the auspices of the Indian Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, is at the forefront of mass awareness for the conservation of petroleum products, promoting fuel-saving devices and assisting the government in the development of policies and strategies to conserve oil.

Each year, PCRA conducts writing, painting, and quiz contest across India, which attracts the large participation of candidates. In order to achieve the goal of instilling a sense of responsibility among young people, winners will receive attractive prizes and a study trip abroad to learn about the progress and efforts made in relation to oil conservation and energy efficiency.

The 2018 essay, test, and painting contest were launched. This is a unique opportunity for millions of potential young students to test their caliber and complete the coveted certificates, awards, and paid trips abroad.

FOR SCHOOLS ONLY

  • Essay
  • Painting
  • Quiz for selecting the School team and thereafter District, State, and Zonal teams. Zonal teams shall participate in National Finals.

FOR INDIVIDUAL ONLY

  • Individual Quiz for achieving Bronze, Silver, or Gold Level, in which children in the prescribed age group can participate.

Instructions and Eligibility Criteria for PCRA Essay Competitions

  • Only Schools in India recognized by the Central and State Councils can participate.
  • Schools are required to conduct competition on school grounds fairly. All are asked to Eligible students (maximum number) participate in this competition, as this is in the national interest.
  • Schools that conduct writing contests in one or more of the following languages: Hindi, English, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Kashmir, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Maithili, Dogri, Nepali, Bodo, and Santhali.
  • Eligibility: Students in Class 7, 8, 9, and 10.
  • A student can participate in only one language.
  • The essay should not exceed 700 words.
  • The student must send the essay in his own handwriting.
  • Students selected in each category will be invited to a national final that will be held in major cities in India. PCRA pays for travel expenses. The 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and special incentive awards will be determined based on entries in the National Final.

Important Guidelines for PCRA Essay

  • The children of PCRA employees are not entitled to prizes.
  • Schools should try to hold competitions as early as possible to avoid last-minute running.
  • Students who received the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or special incentive award in one of the categories in the last three years of the competition are not entitled to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or special incentive award.

  • Only schools in India recognized by the Central and State Councils of India can participate.
  • Schools are required to conduct competition on school premises fairly. All are asked to Eligible students (maximum number) participate in this competition, as this is in the national interest.
  • Eligibility: Two categories:
  1. Students of Class 5, 6, and 7 (Junior).
  2. Students in Class 8, 9, and 10 (Senior).
  • School to hold the competition in one or both categories.
  • Use only A3 size art sheets. The work can be done with pencils, pencil colors, crayons, watercolors, etc.
  • Those students whose paintings are ranked in the top 100 paintings, based on All India level will invite to participate in a final national round in Delhi. PCRAs will cover travel expenses for the top 100 categories.

  • Only schools in India recognized by the Central and State Councils of India can participate.
  • This contest is held online via the web portal www.pcracompetitions.org or via PCRA agency staff appointed offline in selected cities.
  • Schools are required to conduct competitions on the school premises in a fair manner. It is requested All eligible (maximum) students take the online test as they expand their knowledge and are national Interest.
  • Eligibility: Students in classes 7, 8, 9, and 10.
  • The questions are related to fuel economy, environment, general studies, and general knowledge.
  • Schools register the names of all students using the school ID on the portal www.pcracompetitions.org. All students can participate in the first round as individuals.
  • The software selects the two participants with the highest score that make up the school team. This is selected for the offline event.
  • Participants are informed about their school.
  • The school team (two participants with the highest score) participate in the second round or the district round Registration on the portal, on the school premises.
  •  The best school team (winner) at the district level will be informed by PCRA by email. This team must participate in the third round, entering the portal on the school premises to fight for the winners at the national level.
  • Winners at the national level (school staff) are invited to participate in the offline zone rounds in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai for deciding on zone finalists. The date and location will be emailed to Schools.
  •  Zonal finalists are invited to participate in the National Final in Delhi.
  •  PCRA pays for travel expenses.
  •  Schools are informed about the winners at each level on the web portal itself and through Emails.

  • Applications for the PCRA are received by the official authorities of the Petroleum Conservation Research Association. Applicants must complete the following steps:-

  • Second, mention your basic, communication, and educational details.
  • Now check the details again and click on the option.
  • Take a printout of the filled form.
